Amee and I both belong to a local Mom’s Club. One of the moms came up with a fabulous idea for her children’s Christmas presents this year. This mom has organized a toy swap! So many people have little money to buy presents this year. Why not organize a toy swap? Young children do not know the difference between a new or used toy. Have each mom bring there unwanted, in good condition toys to a swap. Divide items into categories and then let everyone “shop”!
My three year old will be getting a whole set of Bob the Builder toys that Amee handed down. I can just see the excitement on his face when he opens his gifts! They are not new toys but they are new to him. I have shared before how Mason’s favorite birthday gift was a toy motorcycle I paid .25¢ for at a yard sale!
It really doesn’t matter how much you spend on a gift, it is the thought that counts!
